Traditional Classes

Traditional classes are taught in person at your location or ours.  Classes can be combined for a complete training solution.

Traditional Classes include: 

• CPR - Basic (or layperson) and PRO (or Health Care Provider) level
• AED - Basic or PRO level
• First Aid - Basic First Aid
• BBP - Blood Borne Pathogens - only offered in conjunction with a CPR Class for companies or groups.
• Pet CPR/FA
• Wilderness Emergency Care - 8 or 16 hour Wilderness First Aid courses
• Boy Scouts of America Edition - Wilderness First Aid - New

Traditional Classes are certified by ASHI or ECSI and certification cards are issued at class. 

*Basic CPR & AED classes are issued on Real Life Emergency Training Certification cards - all classes are taught using the 2010 AHA Guidelines using the ASHI or ECSI curriculum.

Mixed Media Classes

Mixed Media classes are taught online but have a separate hands-on testing component that must be completed in person with one of our instructors to receive a certification card.  Mixed Media classes ARE accepted by all certifying agencies because they require a hands-on testing component to receive a certification.

Mixed Media Classes Include: 

• Basic CPR
• Adult Only CPR
• Adult Only CPR & First Aid
• Professional Rescuer CPR
• First Aid Only
• AED Only

All mixed media certifications are issued by AAOS/ACEP Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI).

After purchase of a mixed media class you will receive an emailed "key". (It may take anywhere from 48 to 72 hours to deliver this key depending on the time it is purchased.) This key will direct you to ECSI's website and allow you to trade the "key" for a user id to take the online portion of the class.  Once finished with the online class it is very important to PRINT the completion certificate and schedule your hands on skills testing. You MUST have the certificate to take the skills portion.  Real Life Emergency Training will provide skills testing and the certification card at no additional charge when the online class is purchased through us.  Skills testing is available by appt. only.

Online Only Classes

These classes are offered entirely online.

• Upon sucessful completion you are able to print out a certificate of completion
• We DO NOT offer CPR in an Online Only format as it is not an acceptable method of learning CPR.

Online Classes offered:

• Bloodborne Pathogens
• BLAST! Babysitter Training (does NOT include CPR)
